A small step for marathon, a big step for me

It was hard to get my aching body out of the bed this morning. My body was in shock. 21 kilometer was probably not what it was expecting. Both of my knees told me already during the race that this hard-asphalt-running was out of their league, and as soon as I came in to Rådhusplassen, my body told me to get as many bananas as possible.
Although I believe that I could have been running a couple of minutes faster the last kilometers (but my knees said no to speed), I think I managed to push myself all the way. My HR max was at 186 and the HR average at 174.
It was a beatiful day and I enjoyed the sun, the water, the leaves that are green and the spectators who asked themselves "why are these people running, it doesn´t look that they have a good time at all".
So I tried to smile and although there were moments I thought it would be better to stop and walk, I kept jogging the whole time.
And I actually had a good time.
